Leave No Trace

We want people to get outside and enjoy the land - in the Driftless and beyond! Public parks and trails are incredible resources, but if not used with respect, they will lose both their conservation and recreation values. To protect these special places, we recommend that visitors follow the seven Leave No Trace principles:

Plan ahead & prepare

Travel & camp on durable surfaces

Dispose of waste properly

Leave what you find

Minimize campfire impacts

Respect wildlife

Be considerate of others

Learn more about how to follow the seven principles by visiting LNT.org.
