About the event

Savanna and prairie restoration activities are in full swing all winter at the Taliesin estate's Phoebe Point. Tour this beautiful site with stunning views and learn about the restoration process that has been going on for several years. Learn how they set goals and created a plan for this project, plus the shrub removal, prescribed burning, invasive plant control, and other methods they have used. Come with sturdy hiking boots and warm clothes, ready to walk a mile-long trail with a moderate slope.

This field trip will be led by Mike Degen, Natural Landscapes Coordinator with the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation and active partner in the Lowery Creek Watershed Initiative.

Location: Meet at the Phoebe Point trailhead on County Highway C, 1/4 mile west of the junction of County C and Highway 23, on the north side of the road.
